Review of Hi5teria:

Hi5teria is presented in a unique way, with a collaboration between five directors in one film where each story is not connected to the others. The stories presented are quite unique, with ideas that are still new. There are several topics that raise mystical legends that occur in Indonesia. Unfortunately, the presentation of the story is still considered less strong and optimal. There are still many parts that can be optimized to make the story more interesting and memorable.

In the first story, the audience doesn't get a clear or detailed picture of the ghost market. The market only appears briefly, and there are more scenes where the main character is wandering around looking for a way out of the mountain. It might be better if the picture of the market was shown in more detail.

The story presented is quite interesting, and the acting from the cast is also engaging. The story is well-conveyed, and the story development and conflict are also quite good, even with the limited time. The music selection, cinematography, camera movement, and color composition are also good. Unfortunately, Zul's appearance at the end of the story makes the ending less satisfying.

In the second story, the idea is actually quite interesting, especially as it is closely tied to Indonesian culture. However, the horror presented felt less than optimal. This was due to the actors' acting, which felt a bit stiff and unnatural. As a result, the audience couldn't feel the emotions that each scene in the film was trying to convey.

The third story also had a good idea, and it was relatable to life in society, where there are some people who may not believe in the existence of ghosts or the like. The acting from the cast was quite good, especially Luna Maya, who definitely can't be doubted. Unfortunately, the supporting cast still felt stiff, especially the ghost actors. So, the intended scary sensation was less noticeable. The music selection was well done and supported each scene.

The fourth story had a pretty interesting idea, but it was unfortunately executed less than optimally. The acting from the cast also seemed ordinary. Many scenes in the story didn't make much sense. For example, a pregnant woman who knows that the house is dangerous actually dares to enter the room that was previously forbidden. Despite this, the twist ending presented was quite interesting. This film has the potential to be developed further.

The fifth story was almost similar to the previous one, in that it had an interesting idea but was lacking in execution. Many things weren't conveyed clearly. Especially the story presented without dialogue made some scenes confusing. The story development wasn't very good, although the plot twist presented was quite interesting. The acting from the cast was also ordinary.

Overall, out of the five films, the first story was quite good in its execution. Although it didn't use shocking elements, the message was conveyed well. Moreover, not only was the horror atmosphere felt, but there was also sadness that was conveyed well. All the stories are presented with a similar ending style, which is an open ending.

For you horror movie lovers, this film is considered to be able to provide entertainment for its fans.

Memorable Scene:

The scene that was quite memorable was in the first story, when Sari realized Jaka's presence, even though they couldn't see each other at all. In this scene, we can feel the sadness that both of them felt. The acting given also represented that sadness very well.

Memorable Dialogue:

-

Ending:

Cliffhanger ending

Recommendation:

Worth to Watch.
